expats

Being new is hard! Turning your life upside down and creating a new home is hard! You don't have to go through this alone. SEELEDU offers psychological coaching for these difficult changes, such as as expat depression, homesickness, stress and more.

Justine began working with immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers at the International Institute of New England (IINE) in 2008 as part of their refugee resettlement program. She then worked in rural Maine public schools with large numbers of refugee children, providing mental health and educational support. As a migrant herself, she finds this topic particularly interesting. In 2017 she moved to Germany with no language skills and experienced all the trials, joys and stresses that moving brings. As a supporter and lover of humanity, Justine has worked with people from over 100+ countries.

Teens & young adults

Teens have a lot of stress, plus in their opinion adults always telling them what to do. Very few have what research says they need most: an adult who can help them figure out what they want most, and then devise and implement a strategy to achieve those goals. Common themes include: school and academic success, anxiety reduction, empowerment, autonomy, self-awareness, social connections, self-exploration, stress management, self-advocacy, discovering drive and motivation, body image, forming healthy habits, improvement focusing and building resilience.

stress & burnout

Stress is an everyday occurrence in life, but sometimes it is too much. Burnout is a state of emotional exhaustion and reduced productivity. Burnout and stress affect both younger and older people who have had to exceed the limits of their resilience due to professional and private overload. Burnout is followed by inner nervousness, exhaustion and depression. If you do not act in time, the healing time will be several months. It is not uncommon for burnout to affect people who are extraordinarily resilient and leave a strong impression in their professional and private lives. The first inconspicuous physical symptoms of burnout can be headaches, irritability and mood swings, low energy, high blood pressure, sleep disorders, loss of appetite and reduced sexuality. Burnout is on the rise and according to representative studies,  71% of teens and students and 52% of adults suffer from burnout. SEELEDU helps bring balance back into your life.

Grief

Overnight it can seem like our lives have been turned upside down. We can feel trapped in our sadness while the world around us looks unchanged. This can lead to the feeling that others do not understand. Maybe we don't even understand each other anymore. Our emotions and behavior can seem very unpredictable. There may also be unhelpful advice on how to cope and "move on," further accentuating feelings of isolation and despair. Certified in grief counseling, SEELDU can help you process grief, loss and sadness and help you better understand and cope with life.
