The second Sunday of Advent reminds us of warmth as a form of regulation for physical, emotional, and relational wellbeing.

In the dark months, warmth helps the body relax, the mind settle, and the spirit feel nourished.

Warmth Practices

  • Physical Warmth: Layer clothing, wrap in a blanket, sip a hot herbal tea. Let your body notice comfort.

  • Emotional Warmth: Reflect on gratitude, jot down small joys or glimmers.

    Mentally notice moments of connection.

Emotional warmth stabilizes mood and energy.

  • Co-Regulation: Sit with a pet, hug a loved one, or simply allow yourself to rest near someone safe. Social warmth supports emotional resilience.
