Hello from Seeledu

SEELEDU is for people who want to live and work with clarity, steadiness, and depth without burning out or losing themselves.
What does SEELEDU mean? It's a playful German word combination to demonstrate our intention to create a more soulful self. A more soulful you!

Rooted in Science. Grounded in Nature. Guided by Performance.
I'm Justine Ferland, founder of SEELEDU.
I coach because I’ve spent decades learning how people actually change: under pressure, in recovery, and over time. My background spans performance sport, psychology, integrative health, and nature-based modalities, including forest therapy and ecopsychology.
I’ve worked in clinical and community settings, with athletes, leaders, families, and individuals from over 100 countries.
What all of these environments taught me is this:
real change doesn’t come from intensity or insight alone.
It comes from consistency, regulation, and environments that support the nervous system and the person as a whole.
Whether my work happens in a coaching session, a retreat, or an outdoor setting, the focus is the same helping people build sustainable capacity, clarity, and self-trust so they can meet life with steadiness rather than strain.
How I Work
SEELEDU is built at the intersection of performance science, integrative health, and systems psychology, informed by decades of working with people under pressure, in transition, and across cultures.
My work is not about quick fixes, motivation spikes, or pushing harder for the sake of pushing harder.
It’s about building capacity: physical, mental, emotional, and environmental,
so people can meet life with steadiness rather than strain.
I work with the whole system. Not just the presenting problem.
An Integrated Approach
1. Performance & Capacity Psychology
I come from a performance background: elite sport, coaching, and behavioral psychology; where results matter and consistency is non-negotiable.
This lens brings:
-
clarity under pressure
-
decision-making when stakes are high
-
emotional regulation in moments that matter
-
routines that support focus, recovery, and sustainable effort
Performance here does not mean productivity at all costs.
It means honest viewing into how you show up, prepare, adapt, and recover
in work, health, leadership, and life.
2. Integrative Health & Lifestyle Medicine
Change does not happen in the mind alone.
My work is informed by integrative medicine and lifestyle-based health practices, including:
-
nutrition and energy regulation
-
sleep and circadian rhythm support
-
stress physiology and recovery
-
somatic and restorative practices
These elements are woven into coaching plans in practical, realistic ways
not as prescriptions, but as supports for the system you’re living in.
We build routines that work in real life, not ideal conditions.
3. Systems Psychology & Context
People don’t exist in isolation.
I work systemically, meaning we look at:
-
patterns rather than isolated behaviors
-
environments rather than willpower
-
context, roles, and expectations
-
how stress, identity, and responsibility interact
This is especially relevant for:
-
high-functioning individuals
-
caregivers and parents
-
leaders and professionals
-
people navigating transitions, burnout, or recalibration
You are not broken.
Often, you are simply responding intelligently to a system that needs adjustment.

What working together feels like:
Clients often describe the work as:
-
grounding
-
clarifying
-
steadying
-
deeply practical
-
quietly transformative
There is no performative urgency here.
No “optimize everything” mentality.
No pressure to be more than you are.
Instead, we focus on:
-
what is sustainable
-
what is repeatable
-
what actually changes things over time
SEELEDU is a good fit if you:
-
value depth over noise
-
want structure without rigidity
-
are capable, but tired of carrying everything alone
-
are ready to work consistently rather than dramatically
-
want support that respects your intelligence and lived experience
A Final Note
I don’t coach to impress.
I coach to help people build lives that work... in their bodies, their work, and their relationships.
The work is steady.
The results are cumulative.
And the process respects your human system.
A Bit About My Journey
My life has always been shaped by movement, attention, and change.
As a child, I felt deeply connected to nature, spending hours grounding in mossy forests, watching the wind dance through the trees, and the clarity of cold air on my skin. That relationship with the natural world has stayed with me through every season of my life.
My athletic and coaching path began on the icy slopes of New Hampshire in competitive ski racing. It was there I was first introduced to mental training, visualization, and breathwork... not as wellness tools, but as performance skills. At the time, I couldn’t have known how central these practices would become across my career.
I was later recruited as a lacrosse goalie, a role that rewarded consistency, emotional regulation, and resilience under pressure. Years of elite sport, however, came with cumulative stress, injury, and pain eventually leading me to yoga- not for flexibility, but in search of effective and sustainable ways to restore my body and focus my mind.
My professional path has been equally dynamic. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Stonehill College (USA) and a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Southern Maine (USA), a degree in Community Mental Health and Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University (USA) with additional trainings in behavioral therapy, educational psychology, integrative health & wellness, mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), and more.
As life often does, my path shifted when I fell in love and immigrated to Germany. This brought new challenges: learning a language, adapting to a new culture, and finding my place in a new country. Through it all, I practiced the very techniques I continue to share with others: resilience, self-compassion, and adaptability.
My career has taken me from clinical mental health settings to international schools and businesses, from fields and slopes, to consulting for global organizations. In 2018, all my degrees and certifications were formally federally recognized by the German Kultusminister Konferenz, allowing me to expand my work internationally.
After coaching the German Women’s National Lacrosse Team, I co-founded national training programs and development camps, and formally launched SEELEDU- bringing together coaching, psychology, integrative health, and performance work in a grounded, human way.
In addition to my work with SEELEDU, I am also currently studying as a naturopath, further deepening my commitment to integrative health and traditional wisdom.
